Four Days in Barcelona

Mid-Sept 2010. My second trip to Spain, after Madrid in 2004. Already one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, I’m glad I went then. It’s now probably groaning under the additional weight of tourists from North Asia, and even more of a pick-pocket’s haven. That said, Barcelona is a must-see place in Spain, if not in Western Europe – if only for the genius of Antoni Gaudí. I would return for that alone. I was fortunate to have glorious Mediterranean weather during my visit. A selection of my thoroughly touristy photos.

Unfinished when I visited; still unfinished 10 years later
Torre Agbar, HQ for Barcelona water company
Love these colourful and flavourful markets
Great thirst quenchers on a scorching day
