An Evening At The Theatre
A little bit of theatre over the years. All but two performances were in London. What a treat these were – some truly memorable performances.
A very young Daniel Radcliffe in Equus, in between filming Harry Potter movies. Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman in A Steady Rain, a tough two-character tale. Saw these two on Broadway.
Catching both Glenda Jackson and Ian McKellen as King Lear, a play whose themes are still relevant today, was a real privilege.
More Shakespeare : Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch, at that time the hottest play in town…

Two plays with an Irish backdrop. The Ferryman was gripping.
Human drama. A-Listers in action. Both these plays were mesmerising and provocative. Brilliant acting.
An Oscar Wilde delight, with David Suchet playing Mrs Bracknell. Much wit and humour was had!

How not to see this one … and it was thoroughly engrossing and enjoyable. Parts 1 and 2 just flew by. The hottest ticket in town, at the time. The staging and special effects were very clever. Kudos and awards well deserved.

Another resounding blockbuster. Again, the hottest ticket in town when it arrived. Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius.

There’s more to come…
